Gingerbread Moscow Mule Recipe

  • 2 oz Catskill Pollinator Vodka

  • 1/2 oz gingerbread syrup (recipe below)

  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

  • 4 oz ginger beer

  • Ice

  • Lime wheel and a small piece of candied ginger for garnish

  • For the Gingerbread Syrup:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 4 cloves

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Start by making the gingerbread syrup. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  2. Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat to low and let the syrup simmer for about 10-15 minutes to infuse the spices. Stir occasionally.

  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool completely, and then strain it to remove the spices. You'll be left with a delicious gingerbread syrup.

  4. Fill a copper Moscow Mule mug or a highball glass with ice.

  5. Pour 2 oz of vodka over the ice.

  6. Add 1/2 oz of the gingerbread syrup to the glass.

  7. Squeeze the juice of half a lime (approximately 1/2 oz) into the glass.

  8. Top off the drink with 4 oz of ginger beer. You can adjust the amount of ginger beer to your taste, adding more or less as desired.

  9. Stir the ingredients gently to mix them together.

  10. Garnish your Gingerbread Moscow Mule with a lime wheel and a small piece of candied ginger.
