Can you share the story behind why you decided to start your company?

While working for someone else I was making my own wine. I need to go sell it so I left and started my company.

How do you think your background and identity have influenced the way you run your business in the alcohol industry?

I remember when I couldn’t afford the wines I loved so I’ve tried to keep prices reasonable.

What were your biggest challenges when you got started, and what is your biggest challenge right now?

Getting started, it was funding. I make a product that you pay for supplies and you can’t sell it for two years. Right now, it’s trying to draw in new and younger customers.

What advice would you give to other aspiring entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds who are interested in entering the alcohol production industry?

Perseverance. There will be highs and lows and sometimes the lows last a long time.

What inspires you to keep going when things get hard?

I love what I do I’m very fortunate to be able to make a living at something I am passionate about.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about you or your company?

I have a wine club that is fun. I’m proud of all of the wines. I also pair them with food and music.
